Our theme this summer is MOVE. God desires for us to be a reflection of Him in our world. This calling should MOVE us to be concerned for the lost in our world. It should MOVE us to look at our world and seek to meet their needs. It should MOVE us to share our story of how Jesus changed our lives and allow God to work through us as we share our story.
We have many resources and great opportunities. Why are we not using them? God wants us to MOVE into our world. Our friends and family need Jesus and we cannot afford to be selfish with our faith any longer. Unfortunately our culture tricks us in to thinking, “Oh that’s what you believe. Don’t force your beliefs on me.” We hear these statements every day. It’s time for a group of believers to rise up and say, “Jesus is what you need, and I’m going to show you by my life and my actions.”
When believers begin to live like Christ in their homes, school’s and work places, two things happen. First, the example of Jesus is displayed to all and second, we allow God to work through us into the lives of those we come in contact with. It takes action on our part. It requires obedience to God’s Word and it means that our Faith must MOVE.
No more sitting on the couch watching “Lost” or “Glee.” Those days are over. We must MOVE ourselves to the position of taking our faith to the world. Allowing God to work through us. Students that have faith are out living the adventure of faith. They are moving in to their world and putting their faith in action.
“Because if you want to MOVE, you got to have faith. And to have faith you got to MOVE.”

To MOVE requires, OBEDIENCE, ACTION & FAITH.

Move Update #2 - June 14

This morning our at 4am, our Junior High student left the parking lot for JH Camp. 74 students are on a journey to experience a fresh encounter with the Lord. Please be in prayer for them this week. For all the updates and details from Jordy and the crew, log on to www.ontheanvil.com/juniorhigh. Jordy will be posting updates everyday, so stay tuned.

Our HS Beach Camp is 2 weeks away and we are busy making last minute preparations for this incredible week in Panama City Beach FL... no worries, the oil has not shown up on the beach yet. We are doing camp a little different this year. Our "free day" is changing. We are going to be serving the Panama City Rescue Mission and the homeless people this organization seeks to minister to. We are giving our time to help those who are in need. Its just another opportunity for the Lord to "MOVE" through our students.

We are still collecting your tennis shoes for the "150 Shoe Campaign." "We Will Go" ministry injhcamplogo Jackson MS ministers to the homeless in downtown Jackson and they have requested TENNIS SHOES (not flip flops or sandals or dress shoes). If you have a pair of tennis shoes that you would like to give, bring them up to the church and drop them in the bin in the Big Room upstairs. So far we have collect 78 pairs of shoes. Our goal is 150 pairs!

Our Dodgeball tournament last Friday was a huge success! Thanks to all the parents that came out to serve! Praise God for you! We have well over 150 students in attendance, shared the gospel, and had a great time. I'd say that was a success! Thanks.

Our schedule this week... (June 14-20)

* Monday Girls Power Lunch at 11:30am.
* Wednesday Night COLLIDE at 6:30pm.
* Friday Night Cafe is open 7pm - 11pm.
* Sunday Morning LIFEGROUP at 9:45am. Week 3 of our "Crazy Love" study.
* NO ACTIVITIES SUNDAY NIGHT in honor of Father's Day.

Coming next Monday June 21, our Girls are seeking to MOVE as they minister to the widow of our church with a special luncheon and game time. Ought to be a great time of ministry for our girls. Make sure you daughter comes. 11:30am - 1:00pm in the Student Center Cafe.
THEN at 3pm at Forsythe Park, its another FREE AND FUN! Old school kick ball!

Please take some time to pray for all our students at camp and preparing for camp. It's beginning to be the "busy" time of the summer. Pray for salvation for the lost and pray for MOVE of God upon the hearts of our students.

We are on the MOVE!

Steve, Jordy & Vince!
